Nearly half a million Israelis have been displaced. “We evacuated the south completely, the towns near the Gaza Strip and 20 towns on the border with Lebanon,” said Israel Defense Forces spokesman Jonathan Conricus.

Meanwhile, more than a million people, almost half of Gaza's population, have been displaced.
