The 2024 Copa América will be played in the US with invited teams from Concacaf
The America's Cup 2024 will be played in the United States with six invited teams from concacaf as part of a new strategic association that will include a jointly organized club tournament, Conmebol and Concacaf reported this Friday.
It will be the second time that the most important national team tournament in South America is held in the United States after the special commemorative edition of 2016, which also included six teams from the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean.
Concacaf countries will qualify for this competition through the Concacaf Nations League 2023/24.

Conmebol and Concacaf are united by historical and affective ties, but above all we are united by the passion, characteristic of all America, for soccer and sport. We want this passion to translate into more and better competitions and for soccer and its values to grow and strengthen throughout the hemisphere.
The agreement signed between the two Confederations also includes a club tournament in the style 'Final Four' that will be played in 2024 with four teams, two from each region that will qualify through their tournaments, the Libertadores Cup and the Concacaf Champions League.
In addition, in women's tournaments, CONCACAF will invite four South American teams to the Gold Cup 2024.

This partnership is to support the continued growth of men's and women's soccer in Concacaf and CONMEBOL, and will truly be of mutual benefit to both Confederations. We will offer elite competitions that will provide more opportunities for our federations. We will work together to ensure that football in both regions continues to thrive.
