The British andy murray reached its first semifinals in 2023 after coming back, 4-6, 6-1 and 6-2, to the French Alexandre M眉ller and be among the four survivors of the Qatar Open 2023, ATP 250.
The 35-year-old Scottish tennis player, now ranked 70th in the ranking, took two hours and six minutes to straighten out his matchup against the Frenchman, ranked 170th in the world rankings.
Andy Murray, who has not reached a final since last year in Stuttgart and Sydney, which he lost, and who has not won a title since he won in Antwerp in 2019, will face the Czech Jiri Lehecka who starred in the surprise of the session by eliminating the first favourite, the Russian Andrei Rublevchampion in 2020, by 4-6, 6-4 and 6-3.
The other semifinal will be played by the winners of the matches between the Australian Christopher O'Connell and the Russian Daniil Medvedev and the Spanish Alejandro Davidovich and the Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime.
