Tenis: Ons Jabeur se baja del Masters de Canadá por una lesión en la rodilla
La tenista tunecina Ons Jabeur, la número seis del mundo, no participará en el Masters de Canadá debido a una lesión en la rodilla.
La organización del torneo WTA 1000, que este año se disputará en Montreal del 4 al 13 de agosto, anunció en un comunicado que la retirada de Jabeur permite a la checa Linda Noskova acceder al cuadro principal y evitar la fase de calificación.

Jabeur, que el pasado 15 de julio perdió la Final de Wimbledon en dos sets ante la checa Markéta Vondrousova, declaró su tristeza por su retirada del torneo canadiense.
Espero volver a Canadá el próximo año para estar con mis seguidores.
Por su parte, la directora del torneo, Valérie Tétreault, declaró que pese a la retirada de Jabeur, el Abierto de Canadá sigue contando con 19 de las 20 principales jugadoras del mundo.
El 23 de julio, el tenista Novak Djokovic anunció que tampoco jugará este año el Abierto National Bank de Canadá, parte del ATP Tour Masters 1000 y que se disputa este año en Toronto igualmente del 4 al 13 de agosto, por fatiga.
Se da la circunstancia que como Jabeur, Djokovic también perdió este año en la Final de Wimbledon, en su caso ante el español Carlos Alcaraz.
