Teacher murdered during convenience store robbery
A teacher was murdered when he was in the parking lot of an Oxxo located in Minatitlán, Veracruz.
The crime was committed last Sunday, October 15, in the establishment located on the corner of Emiliano Zapata and Felipe Carrillo Puerto, in the Insurgentes neighborhood.

According to the authorities, the teacher was heading towards the Oxxo when he was suddenly surprised by an assailant, who minutes before had robbed the business.
The first reports indicated that the victim refused to give the criminal money, so he got angry and shot him several times.

The teacher was identified as Miguel Ángel Santiago, who had more than two decades of experience in primary schools in the region.
Miguel Ángel, who taught classes in the neighboring municipality of Cosoleacaque, was 55 years old.
The man's family asked for justice for the events. So far the attacker has not been arrested.
