American singer Taylor Swift This Saturday, he mourned the death in Rio de Janeiro of a 23-year-old fan during the pop star's first show in Brazil, for an audience of 60,000 people.

The Rio Health Secretariat reported that the young woman died at 8:50 p.m. on Friday (11:50 p.m. GMT) after feeling unwell and suffering from cardiorespiratory arrest inside the Nilton Santos stadium, where the show, part of the Eras Tour, was taking place.

"Resuscitation maneuvers were performed, but he did not resist. At this time, the cause of death cannot be determined, which will be investigated," Rio's health secretary said in a note.

The death occurred at the same time that much of central and southeastern Brazil is experiencing oppressive and unusual temperatures for spring.

On Friday, the night of Swift's show, The thermal sensation reached 59.3 degrees in Rio.

The organization of the event has become the target of criticism due to a restriction on entering the stadium with water bottles, despite the high temperatures.

The Minister of Justice, Flávio Dino, said on Saturday that his ministry will adopt "necessary measures regarding water access to shows and other public spectacles," in addition to investigating responsibilities for the damage "already caused."

"It is unacceptable that people suffer, faint, and even die due to lack of access to water," Dino said, although the cause of death has not yet been determined.
