Swiss minister proposes bathing as a couple to save energy

Simonetta Sommaruga, Swiss Minister for the Environment, invited citizens to shower in pairsto reduce electricity consumption in the midst of an energy crisis that the country is going through.

However, the reactions from the Swiss population were present to criticize the “homemade measures” proposed by the minister and among which also stand out the disconnection of electrical appliances that are not used to save energy.

It is because of that the public official had to clarify her proposal to ensure that it was aimed at young people, because “showering together is not suitable for everyone after a certain age”.

The media Swiss also scoffed at the proposal to respond to the energy crisis, and one made irony to ensure that citizens “should make love every morning to warm up.”

It is important to point out that other European political personalities also proposed other peculiar initiatives to save energy, such as the governor of the German region of Banden-Württemberg, Winfried Krestchmann, who suggested bathing with wipes.
