Surveys reveal “technical tie” between Brugada and Harfuch
A few days after Morena announces the results of the survey that will define the nine State Coordinations for the Defense of Transformation in the entities where there will be elections for the governorships and Head of Government in 2024, the phenomenon that Clara Brugada has represented in the Mexico City is notorious, with an increase in preference among party supporters and militants.
According to the most recent surveys published, the former mayor of Iztapalapa has maintained an upward trend in the internal process of Morena in the country's capital, to be practically in a "technical tie." On August 14, Brugada Molina counted 52 percentage points in favor, against the 53 percent registered for Omar García Harfuch.
In the same sense, another polling house revealed that Clara Brugada had 60.9% of voters in favor and 56.6% for Omar Harfuch on that date.
According to this survey, both candidates capture the same proportion of middle class voters -54 percent-. Regarding respect for women's rights, the mayor of Iztapalapa has 81 percent, an advantage of 9 points, over Omar García Harfuch, according to the opinion study.
Meanwhile, a survey published on October 23 reveals that Morena leads the opposition with eleven percentage points and, in a projection of electoral scenarios, there is only five percentage points of difference between García Harfuch and Brugada Molina, with 47.7 and 42.4%, respectively.
In recent weeks, Clara Brugada has also added different profiles within the Movement, which are not usually integrated into the internal life of the party.
Likewise, intellectuals, artists, feminists, representatives of sexual diversity, businessmen and women, merchants, academics, analysts and activists for human rights and against animal abuse joined their voices, during the last weeks, to express their preference in favor of Brugada Molina.
