According to Conacyt and the Mexican Avimex Laboratory, "the published results correspond to the tests taken on all volunteers on day 42 from the first inoculation and show that the Patria vaccine project is safe and has immunogenic potential" in Clinical Phase 1.

90 volunteers who had not been previously vaccinated participated in this trial, stated the Mexican entity, who also referred that it is a high priority for Mexico to have its own vaccine against the coronavirus.

The Clinical Phase II of reinforcement, which has been open since December 15, 2021, requires an online recruitment process for new volunteers, and 33 scientists from Avimex, Conacyt and national and international institutions have collaborated in this project.

Patria will be applied in its second clinical phase in people who have previously received the complete vaccination schedules with the anticovid Sputnik vaccines; Pfizer; CanSino; Sinovac; Johnson & Johnson; AstraZeneca and Moderna.

For his part, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador reported in October 2021 in a morning conference that Mexico would invest 180 million pesos to advance in the development of the biological.
