Strong punishment for Tigres (and Gignac) for improper alignment in the semifinal

The Disciplinary Commission of the Mexican Soccer Federation reported that the Tigres de la UANL club was sanctioned for presenting an improper alignment during the semi-final second leg of the 2022 Liga MX closing tournament, which he played against Atlas.

The result of the match was 4-2 in favor of Tigres, but with this sanction the score it remains 0-2 in favor of the Atlas club.

French striker André-Pierre Gignac’s hat-trick is void. Igor Lichnovsky’s annotation is also cancelled.

On his Instagram account, the French striker said that he will recover his goals in the following championship:

UNION never disunity … if I, who scored the goals, do not mind having lost them, you less Incomparable, because I’m going to put them back! We lived an unforgettable night. So don’t worry everyone, we’ll come back stronger, WE ARE THE FUCKING TIGERS

Likewise, Tigres received an economic fine, although the amount was not reported.

During a few minutes of the second part of the semifinal match held at the Monterrey University Stadium, Tigres fielded 9 players not trained in Mexico, despite the fact that article 48 establishes that “Within the 11 starting players, you can only be up to 8″ inside the field.

Players not trained in our country are those who began their professional career in international teams or who were not called up to lower Mexican teams, such as the U-17 or U-20.

Previously, the commission sanctioned Nahuel Guzmán with an economic fine for “insulting his own board”.
