Strong fire reported at Geneva airport; suspend operations
An Fire on one of the runways at Geneva Airport caused all landings scheduled for after 7:00 p.m. (local time) to be called off.
Although the airport administration initially reported through its Twitter account that landings would resume after 7:00 p.m., it finally decided to suspend operations.
After the fire broke out near the Genève airport, I reprimanded the traffic. After 7:00 p.m. for the décollages and after 7:30 p.m. for the atterrissages.

For these measures, 11 flights from different airlines and three private flights were diverted to other airports, while 11 more were cancelled, Geneva Airport reported.
This afternoon, explosions and a strong fire were reported near the airport, the second largest in Switzerland, after Zurich, which caused alarm in the area.
The causes of the fire are still unknown. So far no injuries or deaths have been reported from the conflagration.
