With the acceptance of Ciudadanos, PDeCat, UPN, Más País, Compromís, Canarian Coalition, Nueva Canarias, Teruel Exists and PRC, who joined the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE), and United We Can, the reform got 175 votes in favor against 174.

In this way, the project goes ahead with one vote difference and one vote less than expected by the Executive.

According to local sources, two deputies from the Unión del Pueblo Navarro voted against the initiative and therefore, against what was previously agreed.

At the end of last December, the Council of Ministers accepted the labor reform which had been agreed with the unions and employers.

Among the most outstanding issues of the regulation is that of putting an end to the high rate of temporary employment in Spain, and transforming aspects of the Workers' Statute such as contracting and collective bargaining.

It is worth mentioning that this legislation was an important claim by the European Commission, one of the conditions required by it to deliver to Spain part of the funds of the bloc's plan for post-pandemic recovery.
