In a close final, the 28-year-old Mexican swimmer and chemical engineer stopped the Aquatic Center clock at 2:10.25, only behind the American Dakota Luther, who won the Gold with 2:09.97.
For her part, swimmer Laura Sofía Arroyo was also part of the test, finishing in eighth and last place (2:16.31).
