An exchange of shots outside a school in the Tuxtla Gutiérrez region, in the Mexican state of Chiapas, left at least two dead and one wounded.

Dozens of terrified parents and family members crowded outside the Octavio Paz school, concerned for the safety of their relatives, after police sources hinted that everything was in response to an attack against the mayor of the town of La Concordia.
