Sheetz cuts gas prices by 50% for the 4th of July

In order to celebrate Independence Day 2023, the self-service chain Sheetz announced a 50% discount on the price of gasoline, which now stands at $1.77 dollars for this 4th of July.
The promotion kicked off this Tuesday at 12:01 am ET. In this regard, Travis Sheetz, Chairman and CEO of Sheetz, noted that “with this discount it is hoped to help customers have a little more change in their wallets while traveling to celebrate the 4th of July,” he said.
Sheetz's offer will last all day, and the chain also reported that both regular, medium and premium grade fuel as well as unleaded E85 are also part of the promotion, but detailed that discount will not apply to diesel or non-ethanol fuel.
The self-service chain has more than 675 locations in Virginia and West Virginia, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Maryland.
According to the report presented this Monday by the American Automobile Association (AAA), the national average price for a gallon of gasoline was $3.53 dollars for regularthe medium grade at $3.96 dollars, the premium quality at $4.29 dollars, the Diesel at $3.84 dollars and E85 at $2.91 dollars, it also indicated which were the states with the cheapest fuel.
On Thursday of last week AAA reported that more than 43.2 million Americans traveled for the holidays this year representing a record and these same travelers are paying much cheaper gasoline than a year ago when it was $4.87 dollars.
For Patrick De Haan, GasBuddy's head of oil analysis, said last week that “this is great. Gasoline prices are an important economic indicator for many Americans.", said.
