Senate approves-in particular-extinction-of PJF trusts

With a total of ..... votes in favor, the Senate of the Republic approved in particular extinguish 13 trusts of the Judicial Branch.

On Wednesday, October 18, the Senate received the minutes provided by the Chamber of Deputies for analysis and approval.

The opinion will be published soon in the Official Journal of the Federation for it to come into force.

What does the extinction of trusts of the Judicial Branch consist of?

The 13 trusts to be extinguished are distributed among the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), the Council of the Federal Judiciary and the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF).

The approved reform establishes that, within the scope of the Judicial Branch, no other additional funds or trusts may be created or maintained in operation. Support Fund for the Administration of Justice.

With this official resolution, it is expected to allocate around 15 billion pesos to the treasury of the Federal Government, which may be invested in the programs of the National Development Plan.

Chamber of Deputies approves extinction of trusts

On October 17, the Chamber of Deputies approved, in general and in particular, with 260 votes in favor and 196 against,
the opinion that adds a second paragraph to article 224 of the Organic Law of the Judicial Power of the Federation.

The resolution of the Chamber of Deputies generated a series of protests and demonstrations by workers of the Judicial Branch in various states.
