Sedena promotes development of strategic works in the southeast; present weekly report of sections 5, 6 and 7 of the Mayan Train
Mexico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador led the presentation of the report corresponding to sections 5 north, 6 and 7 of the Mayan Train, which covers 553.6 kilometers from the state of Quintana Roo, from north to south, towards the center of Campeche.
The construction is in charge of the Secretary of National Defense (Sedena); work began on August 2, 2022, which are organized on three fronts. Completion is projected for December 31 of the current year.
The sections reported this day at the morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, will connect with the Tulum International Airport, whose construction will also be under the responsibility of Sedena and, like the Felipe Ángeles International Airport, will have a high sense of technological innovation. Its infrastructure will be self-sustaining and will be part of regional development, facilitating the urban planning of the Tulum area.
The commander of the Group of Engineers 'Felipe Ángeles', Gustavo Ricardo Vallejo Suárez, said that this project will meet the growing demand for passengers, initially 5.5 million passengers, of which it is estimated that 75 percent will come from abroad.
