In order for taxpayers to easily comply with the issuance of electronic invoices with a Carta Porte complement for the transfer of goods or merchandise within the national territory, the Tax Administration Service (SAT) made updates to improve its use and published version 3.0 on the internet portal.

This update will come into force on November 25, 2023, however, in order to familiarize themselves with and adapt to the new version, taxpayers will be able to continue issuing their invoices until December 31, 2023 in version 2.0, in its last update, published on February 24, 2023 in the SAT Portal.

As of January 1, 2024, the version valid for your Digital Tax Receipts over the Internet (CFDI) or electronic invoices with Carta Porte complement will be version 3.0.

The tax authority makes the new catalogs included in this new measure available to individuals and legal entities, which can be consulted at: http://omawww.sat.gob.mx/tramitesyservicios/Paginas/complemento_carta_porte.htm

The tax authority reiterates that the information recorded in this document is protected by tax secrecy and helps strengthen formal trade, combat smuggling and unfair competition, as it regularizes commercial operations related to transportation services.
