The Santiago 2023 Pan American Games will be officially inaugurated this Friday at the coliseum of the National Stadium of Chile, where the ceremony will be held with the presence of several artists, including the popular Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra.

The executive director of Santiago 2023, Harold Mayne-Nicholls, pointed out that the cultural and artistic show will last approximately 200 minutes, while he assured that it will be a party “that will show the identity of the entire Chilean people.”

Along with Yatra, Chilean artists and groups Los Jaivas, Los Tres, Los Bunkers will participate, as well as Ana Tijoux and Movimiento Original, who will perform the official song of the event titled A la Cima.

Starting at 8:30 p.m. (local time) the ceremony of the sporting event will take place, which will last until Sunday, November 5.

The sports day, which began previously, will be marked by the baseball group stage in Cerrillos and the boxing preliminaries at the Olympic Training Center.

Likewise, diving will begin in the renovated Aquatic Center of the National Stadium Park as a prelude to what will happen this Saturday, when the first medalists will be announced.

The South American nation hosts the Pan American Games for the first time. In this edition of the fair, 41 countries participate with 6,909 athletes under the motto of “Our meeting point.”
