The Mexican shooter Alejandra Zavala conquered this Thursday in Santiago, Chile, the gold medal in the Final of the 10 meter air pistol, his second gold medal in about Panamerican Games.

The silver went to the American Alexis Lagan and the bronze to the Ecuadorian Diana Durango.

The new continental champion reached 234.1 points after nine series in which Lagan obtained 231.5 and Durango, 213 units.

The top five was completed with the Ecuadorian Andrea Pérez and the American Lisa Emmert, in fourth and fifth position, respectively.

This is the Mexican's second gold in the competition after winning the 25-meter pistol Final this Monday with a new Pan American record of 29 shotsa result with which he also won the pass for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In the Pan American Games, the Mexican had only won silver at the Toronto Games, in this modality.
