Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next flagship the Galaxy S23+ and its younger brother the Galaxy S23.two of the teams that are expected to dominate the segment of premium phones during the course of 2023.

New reports shed light on what the capacity of the batteries of these equipment would be likewhich would have already received the go-ahead from the Federal Communications Commission (FFC, for its acronym in English).

The official documents detail that the battery of the Galaxy S23, whose model number is EB-BS912ABY, has a capacity of 3,900 mAh. This represents an improvement over the Galaxy S22 which had a 3,700 mAh battery, that is, 200 mAh smaller.

This situation is also repeated in the case of the Galaxy S23+ and its new battery model EB-BS916ABY. In this case, there is also a gap of 200 mAh in favor of the Galaxy S23+ whose capacity is 4,700 mAhwhile its predecessor only offered 4,500 mAh.

This should translate into greater autonomy for the Galaxy S23 familyHowever, this will depend to a large extent on the screen that the South Korean manufacturer decides to install on its equipment, as well as the refresh rate it offers.

The official reports of the FCC also give an account of the charging system that Samsung presented to the authorities. It is a device de fast charge of 25 W that would be similar to the one that incorporated the Galaxy S22.

However, it is speculated that the Galaxy S23+ charging system could be 45 W Just as it happened with the previous version, which had a more powerful fast charging system than the cheapest model of the brand.

Something that is known but that is not part of the FCC documents that have been made public is that these phones will incorporate Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip which will guarantee that they have enough power to be able to compete with the top of the range of other companies such as Apple. Although there is still no exact date, it is expected that these phones can reach the market during the first quarter of 2023.
