A freight train carrying fuel derailed this Monday after the detonation of an explosive device on the railway tracks in the Russian region of Briansk, bordering Ukraine, the governor of that territory, Aleksánder Bogomaz, reported from his Telegram channel.

The incident occurred at kilometer 136 of the railway line and no one was injured. “Rescue services are working on the spot. Traffic in this section is suspended," Bogomaz said.
In a statement, the Russian state railway company said the train's locomotive caught fire after derailing. "Fire units are working on the scene," he said.
