Russian President receives support from Iran after failed rebellion | News
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone call on Monday with his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, who conveyed to the head of the Kremlin his full support after the failed rebellion of the private military group Wagner.

Vice President for Political Affairs of the Iranian Presidency, Mohamad Yamshidi, confirmed that the Persian head of state stressed Tehran's support for Russia's national sovereignty.
Similarly, the leaders "discussed the opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, focusing on the practical application of existing agreements in the fields of trade, energy and transport," the Kremlin said in an official note.
Likewise, the leaders addressed various international issues, including stability in the South Caucasus and the solution of the Syrian conflict.
For his part, Putin highlighted the leadership of his Iranian counterpart while congratulating the Persian people on the occasion of the upcoming Muslim holiday of Eid al Adha or the festival of sacrifice, considered the largest celebration of Islam.
In turn, the Russian Presidency published this day a video message from the Russian president to an industrial forum, which is Putin's first appearance after he appeared to respond to the riot reported last weekend.
Last Saturday, the private Wagner paramilitary group announced an armed uprising against the Russian Army. Subsequently, he accepted the proposal of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and stopped his advance towards Moscow.
