Russia registers health test to detect Omicron variant | News
The Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia reported on Tuesday that it had obtained a test that allows the detection of the new Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19.

According to the entity, the test system developed consists of a single test tube in 1.5 hours. In this sense, the sanitary quit detects virus mutations such as Delta and Ómicron.
The epidemiological center specified that the test was registered for the first time on this day by the Federal Health Surveillance Service of Russia.
To date, Russia reports a total of 10,503,101 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. Of these, 17,396 infections were confirmed in the last 24 hours; while the death toll from the disease reaches more than 317,000.
In the European country, infections by the Omicron variant tripled in the last day, registering 305 infected people in at least 13 regions.
The Russian health authorities indicated that 75,113,883 nationals have received the complete vaccination cycle, which represents 62.6 percent of the population.
