Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov has dismissed the United States' "concern" over the possibility that the Wagner Group provides weapons to Hezbollah, at a time when The Shiite militia party maintains an open front on Lebanon's southern border with Israel.

"We have already said that de facto such a group does not exist, so all these arguments, as a rule, are based on nothing and have no basis," Peskov concluded.

In response to the United States' complaint that Hezbollah could receive Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems, the spokesperson stressed that there are emergency communication channels through which concerns "based on something" can be transmitted to the army.

Russia takes a position on the conflict in the East

On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, has reported thatMoscow's position regarding the new crisis in the Middle East is an alignment with the initiative that the Arab countries are working onaccording to the Interfax agency.

The Russian position "is always based on decisions and opinions, on evaluations of the countries in the region when they consider a conflict," Lavrov explained after meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah al Salem al Sabá.

It will be of fundamental importance for us to find a common opinion; I am sure that will be the common opinion of the Arab world. We will do everything possible to facilitate the implementation of those plans (...) We fully trust them when it comes to guaranteeing peace and stability," he stressed.

At the same time, he stressed that Any solution to the conflict goes through the United Nations Security Council and has warned of those "ideas" that have been gaining momentum in the international community. and that they seek to "delay, if not bury, decisions (...) on the creation of a Palestinian State."

We are very cautious about the plan to destroy the prospects for the creation of a Palestinian state, to condemn the Palestinians to an eternal existence without rights. This, of course, will not guarantee peace and security in the region, it will only drive and deepen the conflict," he warned.

Russia has so far favored a ceasefire between Israel and Palestine, and has urged the United States to do the same.
