The shelling of Ukrainian troops against a civilian medical center resulted in the death of 14 people and another 24 were injured in the region of the self-proclaimed People's Republic of Lugansk, which adhered to Moscow under a referendum, denounced sources from the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

Essential medical care has been provided at the hospital for months to the local civilian population and the military, the military agency said.

"A deliberate missile attack on a known active civilian medical facility is an unequivocally serious war crime by the kyiv regime," the Defense Ministry states.



In a statement, the military entity indicated "that all those involved in the planning and execution of this crime will be found and held accountable."

Emergency services are at the scene, removing rubble and trying to locate other possible victims of the bombing.
