Russia and the US cross accusations on the use of chemical weapons | News
Russia and the United States have crossed accusations in recent days about Washington’s links with biological research laboratories in Ukraine and what the US describes as Russian pretexts to justify a possible chemical attack, which has been rejected this Friday by Moscow as “something unimaginable”.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday that the issue of US bio-laboratories and biological-military activities “will be constantly reproduced” on the UN platform from the Russian side.
In that sense, he added: “We raised this problem in the Security Council, and this is not a one-time issue, this issue will become constant in our country, because it is directly related to risks, threats to peace and international security. This is how and in this vein we will raise questions about non-transparent military biological activities around the world.”
Also on Thursday, it emerged that the Russian State Duma will study the participation of Biden’s son, Hunter, in the work of biological laboratories in Ukraine; while data released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on the Pentagon’s biolaboratories in Ukraine show a clear connection between the activities of these institutions and a similar laboratory in Georgia.
Earlier, on Thursday itself, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, warned that Washington will respond if Russia uses chemical weapons in Ukraine and has assured that these reprisals will depend on the “nature of use” of that type of weapon, all after participate in the NATO and G7 summit and before participating in the European Council this Friday.

For his part, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasili Nebenzia, rejected on Friday attempts by the West to blame Russia for planning the use of chemical and biological weapons in Ukraine: “This is an unimaginable accusation against Russia,” he claimed.
Lots of hyperventilating in the media about Russia using chemical weapons. See this for what it is. The US funded 30 bioweapons labs in Ukraine. Russians are seizing them and finding deadly pathogens. US wants to change the narrative, deflect attention from our bioweapons. pic.twitter.com/pz4BBV9XLn

Meanwhile, Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian said the United States should explain to the world what the goals of its biological warfare projects are and why there is no detailed information about them: “We can’t help but ask, what What is the real purpose of these US projects? Why hasn’t the US side made the details of these projects public? What is the connection between US biological laboratories abroad and the US Department of Defense?”
