Rubén Rocha Moya flags 183 athletes with disabilities from Sinaloa
The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, championed the 183 athletes with disabilities who will participate in the CONADE 2023 Paranational Games, to be held from October 16 to November 7 in Cancún, Quintana Roo.
In the company of the president of the DIF Sinaloa System, Eneyda Rocha Ruiz, the state president wished success to those selected and hoped that their desires to return with medals would be fulfilled, to raise the name of the state.
In the multipurpose gym of the Sinaloense Institute of Physical Culture and Sports “María del Rosario Espinoza”, Rubén Rocha Moya led this ceremony, where for the first time a governor flagged down a delegation of para-athletes.
“I feel really happy because I am with you saying goodbye, you are going to be very successful, let your sternum come thundering with the medal, let the medal ring, we are waiting for you here with medal or without medal also with great pleasure, the important thing is that you go to compete, we are going to continue paying attention to you,” he said.
In this framework, the state president announced that the sports infrastructure for athletes with disabilities will be expanded, so that there is due accessibility to the facilities.
He announced that there is a project to build a Golbol field (a Paralympic sport created specifically for blind and visually impaired people) in Parque Culiacán 87, as well as an athletics track for adapted sports.
