The people affected by the consumption of the poisoned drug are concentrated in the western and northwestern areas of the Buenos Aires suburbs, that is, surrounding the country's capital.
Official sources indicated that some 18 hospitalized people have mechanical respiratory assistance.
The authorities reported that 10 people have been detained and passed on to the judiciary, which will determine if they were the ones who marketed the adulterated cocaine.
