The Ministry of Health of Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina, launched an urgent epidemiological alert to consumers.

"Alert. If you acquired cocaine in the last 24 hours, do not consume it. In case of having ingested it and presenting symptoms such as increasing difficulty breathing or a tendency to sleep, I immediately went to a health center, ”said a tweet from the entity.

The people affected by the consumption of the poisoned drug are concentrated in the western and northwestern areas of the Buenos Aires suburbs, that is, surrounding the country's capital.

Official sources indicated that some 18 hospitalized people have mechanical respiratory assistance.

The authorities reported that 10 people have been detained and passed on to the judiciary, which will determine if they were the ones who marketed the adulterated cocaine.
