Dos sujetos quemaron este lunes un libro del Corán en Estocolmo, frente al Parlamento en Suecia, luego de que las autoridades policiales expidieran un permiso para que se llevase a cabo la manifestación en el marco de las tensiones que han generado este tipo de actos en países musulmanes .

De acuerdo con medios locales, los autores fueron identificados como Salwan Momika y Salwan Najem, migrantes iraquíes que habían participado anteriormente en el incendio del libro sagrado islámico.

En este sentido, Najem declaró a fuentes periodísticas que continuará realizando este tipo de actos de odio “hasta lograr que lo prohíban” mientras aseguró que no es ilegal quemar el Corán.



A su vez, los gobiernos de Suecia y Dinamarca anunciaron que preparan medidas para restringir estos actos debido que considera que afecta la seguridad de sus países y sus nacionales.

“En Suecia ya hemos empezado a analizar la situación legal, incluida la Ley de Orden Público, para explorar las posibilidades de medidas que puedan reforzar nuestra seguridad nacional y la seguridad de los suecos en Suecia y en el extranjero”, señaló el primer ministro sueco, Ulf Kristersson.

“En definitiva, se trata de proteger nuestra sociedad libre y abierta, nuestra democracia y el derecho de nuestros ciudadanos a la libertad y la seguridad”, añadió.

Por su parte, gobiernos de países islámicos, Liga Árabe y el Consejo de Cooperación para los Estados árabes del Golfo han realizado acciones diplomáticas para expresar su enérgica condena ante los actos de odio.
