Record new explosion at Ubinas volcano in Moquegua, Peru | News
The National Institute of Civil Defense of Peru (Indeci) reported this Thursday a new explosion at the Ubinas volcano, which is located in the department of Moquegua, in the south of that Andean nation.

Through a statement, the entity highlights that on this day an important cloud of ash was seen over the volcano, which reached a maximum height of 3,500 meters above the crater level.
The entity stresses that given this strong activity in the colossus, raising the alert level from orange to red, the maximum, is not ruled out.
The statement warns that the material ejected by the volcano will move to the south and southeast of the country, and may affect at least 13 districts.
In this regard, the local Ministry of Health began cleaning and sanitation work in the most affected areas; meanwhile, two flights with more than two tons of humanitarian aid arrived in the area, including food, masks, glasses and the Mobile Communications Unit of the National Emergency Operations Center.
The Ubinas colossus is the most active in that country and experienced two strong explosions on July 4 and the day before, the Government declared a State of Emergency for seven districts in the vicinity of the volcano, which could be affected by a possible eruption.
