It was also Seager's 18th all-time homer in postseason games.

The fourth game of the best-of-seven series is scheduled for this Tuesday also in Phoenix (Arizona).
Rangers won from the start
The D'Backs seriously threatened in the second inning with a double by Christian Walker and a single by Tommy Pham, but the first was put out on the rubber by a precise shot by Cuban outfielder Adolis García.
For its part, The Rangers were able to carry out their threat in the third when Nathaniel Lowe hit a double, Marcus Semien had an RBI single and Seager hit a home run to right field.
Three-time Cy Young Max Scherzer then went three full innings for the Rangers, allowing two hits.
For his part, Arizona starter Pfaadt left after five and a third, with four hits and three runs with four strikeouts, but took the loss.
The D'Backs pulled one back in the eighth with a double by pinch-hitter Emmanuel Rivera and an RBI single by the Dominican Geraldo Perdomo against Cuban reliever Aroldis Chapman.
However, Chapman closed the inning with a strikeout to rookie Corbin Carroll and a double play hit to fellow Dominican Ketel Marte.
Marte went 1-for-3, for his 19th postseason game with a hit.
Cuban outfielder García, who had equaled David Freese's 10-year playoff record in the previous game with his 22nd RBI in the 2023 postseason, went 0-for-3 on this occasion.
The Rangers, in their first World Series since 2011, seek the first MLB crown since the club began playing in the Majors in 1961while the Diamondbacks won their only title in 2001 in their only previous World Series appearance.
The Rangers have had the ability to win on the road in these playoffs with two wins in Tampa Bay, two in Baltimore, four in Houston and now one in Phoenix against the D'Backs.
