The State Council of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) in Yucatán met on Thursday, September 28 and defined the four candidates who will go to the next round of the internal process to define the coordinator of the Defense Committees of the Fourth Transformation, where highlighted the absence in the final list of the senator Jorge Carlos Ramírez Marín.

However, it is worth noting that the former militant of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) still has an opportunity to participate in the survey that will define the person who could appear on the ballot for governor, because the Morena Election Commission could choose two people more to participate in the process.

According to what the State Council of the guinda party announced after the session with 51 councilors, those elected were three women and one man, these are Rocío Natalí Barrera Puc, Verónica Camino Farjat, Joaquín Díaz Mena and Jazmín Villanueva Moo.

"It was a closed door meeting, a transparent, democratic and reliable process where each counselor was given a ballot on which the counselors wrote down the names of a woman and a man. It should be noted that at the close of the call, 10 women and 17 men registered,” the official announcement read.

In addition to the above, the State Council reaffirmed that, taking into account what was planned by the National Leadership, the possible candidate for governor will be chosen through the survey process; Furthermore, they made it clear that the other participants will continue to be part of the process.

“The council will make proposals, which does not mean that the other colleagues who were left out of the proposals will not be taken into account, that is what the recognition survey is for, in such a way that the Election Commission could expand these proposals", they explained.

Finally they called for unity so that the Fourth Transformation is consolidated in the entity of the Mexican southeast, even to do not attack other applicants and not fall into sectarianism.
