Rain is expected, but hot weather in the afternoon

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) announced the forecast for weather in Mexico for this October 13, 2023which provides more rains and heat in the afternoon.

Low pressure channels will prevail over the Sierra Madre Occidental, center, east and southeast of the Mexican Republic, in addition to the Yucatan Peninsula, and in interaction with the entry of humidity and the approach of the monsoon trough to the coasts of the South Pacific Mexican, they will cause occasional heavy showers and rains.

On the other hand, tropical wave 29 will gradually move over the west of the national territory, causing occasional heavy showers and rains. Likewise, cold front 6 will extend over northern Mexico and will interact with a low pressure channel in the northeast of the country and the subtropical jet stream, coupled with instability at high levels of the atmosphere, will cause showers with occasional heavy rains and Wind gusts of 60 to 70 km/h with possible formation of whirlwinds in Coahuila, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas.

According to the statement from the agency dependent on the National Water Commission (Conagua), the evening environment will be hot to very hot in most of the Mexican Republic.

Mexico Climate: Maximum temperature today October 13, 2023

For today, October 13, 2023, a warm to hot environment is forecast in Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo with maximum temperatures of 35 to 40°C. As well as from 30 to 35 °C in Baja California, Sonora, Coahuila, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero, Puebla and Oaxaca.

Weather in CDMX and Edomex: showers are expected

In the Valley of Mexico, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected today, October 13, 2023, with rain and intervals of showers in the Mexico City (CDMX) and the State of Mexico, which could be accompanied by electric shocks and possible hail.

The minimum temperature forecast for Mexico City will be 12 to 14 °C and the maximum 25 to 27 °C. For Toluca, Edo. Max., the minimum temperature will be 8 to 10 °C and the maximum 19 to 21 °C.

Weather in Nuevo León today, October 13, 2023

According to the forecast, heavy occasional rains are expected in Coahuila and Nuevo León. Wind of variable direction with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h and possible formation of whirlwinds in Coahuila and Nuevo León, and gusts of 40 to 60 km/h with possible dust devils in Chihuahua.
