“We want justice for Bruno and Phillips, and for the government to help us protect our territories; they are not fulfilling their role, especially the National Indian Foundation (Funai) and the current president of Funai in this Bolsonaro government,” declared the president of the Kanamari Association, Delcimar Tamakuri.

“What the search team found was a possible place where the traces, observed on the edge of the ravine, indicate that a boat could have been dragged there; this information was transmitted to the authorities responsible for the investigations and, therefore, , the place was isolated for the expert’s report,” the organization specified.
In another order, the Brazilian Federal Police reported this Monday, the eighth day of the search, that some belongings of the indigenist Bruno Pereira and the journalist Dom Philips, disappeared since June 5, were found in the area of the Vale do Javari indigenous reserve. .
