El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sostuvo este viernes una reunión con el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Irán, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, para profundizar las relaciones de cooperación.

El encuentro se realizó en el Palacio de Miraflores, sede del Gobierno, en Caracas (capital) y contó con la participación de autoridades de ambos países.
El mandatario venezolano calificó como productiva la visita del canciller de Irán y expresó que "tengo la seguridad que nuestras relaciones seguirán fortaleciéndose para el intercambio tecnológico, industrial, científico y cultural que beneficie a ambos pueblos."
Previamente, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores iraní tuvo reuniones con otras autoridades del país suramericano.
La vicepresidenta Ejecutiva venezolana, Delcy Rodríguez, recibió al diplomático en un encuentro que fue propicio para que ambas delegaciones revisaran "una extensa agenda productiva, para fortalecer una cooperación conjunta entre las dos naciones", refiere una nota de prensa de la Vicepresidencia.
Por su parte, el canciller venezolano Yván Gil dijo, mediante su cuenta en la red social Twitter, que le reiteró a su par iraní "nuestro compromiso y voluntad de continuar profundizando los distintos temas de interés de nuestra alianza estratégica".
En una nota de prensa, la Cancillería venezolana precisó que ambas naciones se "respaldan el uno al otro en su desarrollo, en la defensa de su soberanía y autodeterminación".
Además, recordó que Venezuela e Irán han suscrito acuerdos en diversos sectores como el energético, científico, petrolero, de defensa, cultural, económico, alimentario, entre otros.
