El presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recordó que este viernes se cumplen cinco años del intento de magnicidio en su contra.

En el marco del acto por el 86° aniversario de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana (GNB), el jefe de Estado declaró que gracias a las investigaciones se logró la captura de los autores materiales “y parte de los autores intelectuales”.

"Quedó claro en la investigación la participación del expresidente de Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, quién fue el operador directo desde Bogotá para financiar y preparar el grupo terrorista y tratar de asesinarnos, como lo intentaron hace cinco años", dijo.

Además, precisó que al pasar de los años se ha conocido sobre "el involucramiento personal y directo que tuvo el expresidente Donald Trump, la Casa Blanca, al ordenar al presidente colombiano preparar el atentado".

"Eran los últimos días de Gobierno de Juan Manuel Santos, aún no había entregado, y quedó el testimonio días antes donde declaraba que muy pronto en Venezuela iba a haber un colapso, que muy pronto iba a haber un cambio de régimen", añadió.



Por otra parte, el mandatario instó a la GNB a estar alerta para que el pueblo venezolano "pueda disfrutar de su derecho a la seguridad, a la paz, a la armonía, a la convivencia".

Tras felicitar al cuerpo castrense, afirmó que la GNB ha nacido y renacido muchas veces, siendo uno de los momentos fundamentales "cuando nuestro comandante Hugo Chávez, la incluyó en la Constitución y luego cuando le dio el carácter bolivariano para siempre”.
