President Venezuelan inaugurates Plaza of the Anti-Imperialist Rebellion | News
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Thursday the Plaza of the Anti-Imperialist Rebellion in the city of Caracas (capital), to strengthen the historical memory of the population.

The president assured that "this monument combines the real and the wonderful", while highlighting the beauty of the construction and the work of the people who worked on its realization.
On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the deed led by Commander Hugo Chávez, the head of state asserted that "that early morning of February 4, 1992, Venezuela experienced the greatest political and spiritual upheaval that has been known since the time of the independence".
Likewise, he highlighted the work of Commander Chávez at the dawn of 1992, and the fundamental role played by him in an action that marked a before and after in the history of this South American nation and that ended up being the seed of the Bolivarian Revolution.
“That youth understood that it was at that moment or it was never. That morning, not only Venezuela felt the shudder of a corrupt political regime given over to imperialism”, he stressed.
President Maduro recalled that that uprising was a response by the people to the measures imposed by then President Carlos Andrés Pérez, which showed that Venezuela was beginning to tire of the neoliberal system and was seeking radical changes.
For her part, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, stressed that "we have to build a historic route to show the traces of the battle that our country has waged for 500 years, to show the world where we come from, our values and what spiritual force we are constituted
For the inauguration, a cultural gala was held with the performance of the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra, the musicians Aquiles Rengifo, William Alvarado, and the interpretation of the play entitled Downpour.
