President of Venezuela ratifies the Minister for Defense | News
The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Friday Vladimir Padrino López as Minister of Popular Power for Defense.

The Head of State gave the information during the joint graduation ceremony in the different categories of technical commands, troops and the promotion to active reserve of the 1990 promotions of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).
From the Patio de Honor of the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela, in Caracas (capital), the president highlighted "his values of honesty, morality, professionalism and his military leadership", reports a Presidential Press release.
In addition, he described Padrino López as "a loyal, hardworking, honest, self-sacrificing, fighter man."
On this day, President Maduro also reported that Major General (M/G), José Murga Baptista is the Commander General of the Army; Admiral Neil Jesús Villamizar Sánchez is the new commander of the Bolivarian Navy, appointed M/G Elio Estrada in the Bolivarian National Guard.
Likewise, it ratified General in Chief (G/J) Domingo Hernández Lares as Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB and in the Bolivarian Military Aviation as M/G Santiago Infante.
