The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, arrived at dawn this Monday in the city of Jeddah, the second most important in Saudi Arabia, regarding a work agenda that aims to strengthen political, diplomatic and energy alliances with this country. .

After arriving at the King Abdulaziz International Airport, the head of state was welcomed by senior Saudi officials with honors corresponding to his inauguration.
The Bolivarian leader traveled in the company of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, and Communications, Freddy Ñáñez, as well as his wife and deputy Cilia Flores.

This is the third time that the Venezuelan President has visited that country, having previously done so in 2015 and 2016. He is expected to hold meetings with King Salman bin Abdulaziz and with the crown prince, Mohamed bin Salman.
Maduro Moros arrived in Jedah from the capital of Türkiye, Ankara, where he attended the inauguration of President Recep Tayip Erdogan for a new five-year term as head of the Executive.
Venezuela and Saudi Arabia have had bilateral relations since 1952 and have signed numerous cooperation programs.
