“The result of our Covid-19 test, which I took on my wife after mild symptoms, was positive. Fortunately, we have a mild disease, which we learned is a variant of Ómicron”, declared the president.

Likewise, the president explained that both he and the first lady will continue to carry out their work at home.

The ruler tested positive two days after his official visit to Ukraine, where he met with his counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.

Despite this, it is difficult to determine the source of the dignitary’s contagion, because he recently made visits to nations such as Albania, Serbia and Ukraine.

Turkey continues to register record numbers of infections due to the expansion of the Omicron variant and in the last 24 hours 110,000 were detected and 248 people died due to complications with Covid-19.
