The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, received this Wednesday the executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), Sacha Llorenti, who is making an official visit to the country caribbean

According to the Cuban president, issues such as the will to promote the progress of the integration organization in the region, as well as the need to strengthen the unity of Latin American nations in the face of interventionist attempts by external forces, were addressed during the meeting.

Likewise, both parties analyzed the achievements and goals achieved by ALBA-TCP, in addition to pointing out the main actions planned for the following years and discussing the most important issues on the international agenda.

For his part, the executive secretary of ALBA-TCP, Sacha Llorenti, thanked the Cuban nation for its support of the Latin American Alliance; thus, he reaffirmed its support in the face of the coercive measures implemented by the US blockade on the island.

“It is a true privilege to be again in the land of Martí and Fidel, thank you very much for the welcome; willing to start this work visit to continue joining forces for our ALBA-TCP”, said Llorenti.



It should be noted that the executive, Sacha Llorenti, will deploy an intense work schedule in the Havana capital with the aim of evaluating the progress of social and economic programs that benefit hundreds of thousands of Latin Americans.
