President Venezuelan arrives in Qatar on a state visit

The Venezuelan president received the military honors corresponding to his high investiture to the beat of the notes of the Venezuelan National Anthem “Gloria al Bravo Pueblo”. Subsequently, the National Anthem of Qatar “As-Salam al-Amiri” was heard.

After the formal moment, the Bolivarian leader greeted Qatari officials and dignitaries and then went with the Emir to the place where they held the meeting.

It is the second official visit of the Venezuelan head of state to Qatar, after the one he made in 2015 in the context of the lightning tour to stabilize oil prices.

The president’s state visit to Qatar promotes Venezuela’s agenda of cooperation, peace and respect with respect to other nations. It is focused on expanding cooperation in the areas of science and technology, agriculture, transportation, energy, tourism and culture.

It is expected that the energy and hydrocarbon issue will occupy a central place among the issues addressed by President Maduro and Al Thani, and that Venezuela will present its business portfolio in the energy sector on that stage.

Qatar is considered one of the countries with the highest energy potential and human development index globally. It can fully supply itself with energy. According to calculations, its total production amounts to 107 percent of the energy it needs. The rest is exported to other nations or is not used.

The small Persian Gulf nation is the fifth leg of the Eurasian tour of the Venezuelan head of state, who previously visited Türkiye, Algeria, Iran and Kuwait.

In addition to deepening alliances, this international journey consolidates political and diplomatic exchange for the sake of a multipolar world.

On the other hand, it contributes to establishing a common path of respect, equality and complementarity, and establishing relations of friendship, brotherhood and strategic cooperation in various areas.
