Post Malone compra carta de Magic: The Gathering en 2.6 millones de dólares

Desde que Wizards of the Coast anunció su colaboración con ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ en una colección para el juego Magic: The Gathering, se supo que probablemente veríamos la carta más valiosa de su historia, pues la del Anillo Único como su nombre su dice solamente tendría una copia, que ahora pertenece a Post Malone.
Por ello, cuando a principios de julio un canadiense llamado Brook Trafton encontró dicho naipe en un sobre que compró en la tienda local Maximum Cards and Collectibles de Whtiby, Ontario supo que obtendría una cifra récord para su venta y también tenía una idea de quién podría ser el comprador.
Y es que además de ser un reconocido rapero, Post Malone es un apasionado del juego y de hecho fue quien compró la carta llamada Black Lotus, que tenía como particularidad la firma de su dibujante Christopher Rush, en 800,000 dólares, que ostentaba el récord hasta ahora.
“He jugado a MTG desde que era un niño y, obviamente, sería increíble conservar esta carta. Pero para alguien como yo, poder venderla es un cambio de vida. Esperaba que fuera a parar a alguien que la apreciara tanto como yo. Este es mi sueño hecho realidad, conocer a Post Malone y que me compre la carta del Anillo Único es, literalmente, un momento sacado de un cuento de hadas”, explicó Trafton, quien publicó un video del momento en el que le entregó el preciado objeto al rapero.
Según se reportó la operación fue de dos millones de dólares estadounidense, pero con el pago de impuestos y trámites que pide el gobierno canadiense para completar la operación, la cifra asciende hasta 2.6 millones.
