Police teach karate and keys to women from Chihuahua to defend themselves

Agents of the Chihuahua state police taught a self-defense course to 300 women from the peripheral neighborhood Slopes of San Guillermo.

The owner of the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), Gilberto Loya, explained that the objective is to provide tools "that contribute to improving their response capacity in situations of attack, aggression or physical violence" and harassment.

During the training they were taught basic techniques such as locks and takedowns, karate blows, kicks, among others.

This SSPE initiative has been extended to various municipalities of the entity such as Aquiles Serdán, Jiménez, Urique, Madera, Balleza, Chihuahua and Juárez, as part of the crime prevention campaign designed to strengthen the safety and well-being of Chihuahuan women.
