In this sense, the polling stations will remain open from 07:00 (local time) until 17:00 (local time).
During the day, the deputy governors and councilors of the regional council, as well as the councilors of the provincial councils and district councils, will also be elected for the period 2023-2026.
According to the entity, the installation of polling stations in 1,341 populated centers, at the national level, was planned, thus facilitating the suffrage of 969,253 voters, who will no longer have to make long and expensive trips to exercise their right to vote.
Thus, the populated centers will have, as a whole, 3,890 voting tables, which will be distributed in 1,368 polling places.
It should be noted that due to the current epidemiological context, the authorities have directed people to go to the voting centers with a sanitary mask, despite the fact that it is no longer mandatory; as well as maintaining social distance due to the persistence of Covid-19 in the country with the highest mortality rate in the world from this disease.
