Former Brazilian footballer Edson Arantes do Nascimento Pelé received medical discharge on Thursday, for which he left the hospital where he was hospitalized for two weeks to treat a tumor.

In a statement, the Israelite Albert Einstein Hospital, located in the city of Sao Paulo, reported that the 81-year-old former crack of the Brazilian national soccer team “was discharged (…) on Thursday.” .
“The patient remains stable and will continue (the) treatment for the colon tumor that was detected in September,” added the hospital.
In a message posted on his Twitter social network account, Pelé posted a photo of himself, of which he said: “This photo smiling is not accidental. As promised, I am going to spend Christmas with my family. I’m coming home. Thank you for all your messages of affection ”.
The 1958, 1962 and 1970 World Cup champion entered the hospital in early December with the aim of undergoing chemotherapy sessions.
Previously, Pelé underwent an operation to have a tumor removed, for which he was hospitalized for almost a month.
