Pdte. Mexican tests positive for Covid-19 for the second time | News
The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, announced on Monday that he tested positive for Covid-19, in what is the second contagion he has suffered, although he indicated that he has "mild symptoms."

The Mexican president, in his social media accounts, said that: “I am infected with (the) Covid-19 and although the symptoms are mild, I will remain in isolation and will only do office work and communicate virtually until I get ahead. ”.
López Obrador, who has the complete vaccination scheme against Covid-19 plus a reinforcement, explained that in the meantime, the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández, will be the one who will represent him at press conferences and other events.
"Courage, with the same affection as always!", The 68-year-old Mexican leader ended his tweet, who in January 2021 was infected for the first time with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19 .
In his morning press conference, the head of state announced that he was going to have a test later because he woke up a little hoarse and cold.
López Obrador also acknowledged that coronavirus infections have increased in the country, "but fortunately it is not yet reflected in hospitalizations and, most importantly, (not) in deaths."
Presidents show solidarity with López Obrador
The presidents of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and of Bolivia, Luis Arce, upon learning of the illness, expressed their solidarity with their Mexican colleague and wished him a speedy recovery.
"Prompt recovery, President López Obrador, I wish you personally and on behalf of our Party, Government and the people of Cuba, who always thank you for your unchanging solidarity," Díaz-Canel wrote on his Twitter account.
Luis Arce, published a tweet, in which he expressed “our solidarity with the President of Mexico, brother López Obrador, who tested positive for Covid-19.
"We hope you have a speedy recovery and we send you our sincere appreciation for the work you do for the benefit of the Mexican people and the Great Homeland," he added.
In Mexico, politicians such as the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, and former president Felipe Calderón, as well as officials such as Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, also expressed to López Obrador their wishes for a speedy recovery.
