From the Plaza de la Constitución, the federal president assured that the measure is for the benefit of all Mexicans as it is a transportation that pollutes less, is more economical and will facilitate the mobility of the population from the south of the national territory to the north of the country.

The Revolution was made by rail and on horseback and this announcement has a lot to do with our revolution (...) this day was chosen to publish the decree that establishes the return of the modern passenger train service with the use of 17,484 kilometers of railway tracks and facilities that were concessioned for cargo services and are now going to be used, also those railway tracks for passenger train service (...) we made this decision because train travel will be more economical, comfortable and less polluting, since the roads can be electrified, it is safer public transportation and increases the mobility of the population from the main cities of Mexico to the northern border," he highlighted prior to the traditional parade for the Anniversary of the Revolution.

He explained that the measure published yesterday in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) involves, in a first stage, the operation of various routes; in them Mexico-Veracruz-Coatzacoalcos; the one that runs from Felipe Ángeles Airport to Pachuca; México-Querétaro-León-Aguascalientes, as well as the Manzanillo-Colima-Guadalajara-Irapuato route and the México-San Luis Potosí-Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo route.

Other routes that will come into operation to transport passengers are Mexico-Querétaro-Guadalajara-Tepic-Mazatlán and Nogales, as well as Aguascalientes-Chihuahua-Ciudad Juárez; in addition to all the stations that were in operation before 1995, prior to the suspension of this type of transportation in the country.

According to the federal executive, his government and the Armed Forces are “like a guardian angel” that gives tranquility and peace to Mexicans.

It should not surprise us that now, in the new stage, in this peaceful, profound and humanist revolution that we carry out together and from below, it should not be surprising that the Armed Forces are helping us so much. General Luis Cresencio Sandoval González (head of the Sedena) announced what the Army contributed for the good of our people; The Secretary of the Navy has done the same. Therefore, it is a mark of pride to be able to commemorate another anniversary of the Revolution, demonstrating with actions (...) not words, it is very satisfying to be able to tell the people of Mexico that they have the government at their side as a guardian angel. democratic, to the Army, the Air Force, the Navy and the National Guard so that our people can live with peace and well-being," he stressed.

For his part, Sandoval said that, until now, the Army and Navy have participated in 2,823 projects, such as airports, hospitals, branches of the welfare bank and road construction, among others.
