Mexico.- The coordinator of the PAN deputies, Jorge Romero Herrera, celebrated the elevation to constitutional rank of "Law 3 of 3", which reforms articles 38 and 102 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, which It prevents those who have a criminal record for gender violence or are alimony debtors from holding public office.

In a statement, he pointed out that said reform, which is now a reality, goes one step further to combat gender violence and promotes the administration of justice in our country.

"We applaud that this reform has finally been approved, since we are convinced that with this new Law a further step is taken in the fight against gender violence and promotes a greater administration of justice in Mexico."

He added that the initiative that gave rise to this Law was driven and promoted from the beginning by Acción Nacional, consistent with the vocation of his party in favor of the defense of children and the eradication of violence against women.

“In Acción Nacional we have an inalienable vocation in favor of the defense of children and the eradication of violence against women.

"Proof of this is that the initiative that gave rise to this reform was promoted and supported from the beginning by the PAN and that Yucatán, a PAN state, was the first to approve a law of this type."

Romero Herrera added that those who are not capable of assuming the responsibility of fulfilling their family will be less able to make decisions whose impact reaches the entire country, so this new law basically also promotes respect for human rights.

"In the PAN we are convinced that those who are not capable of assuming the responsibility of fulfilling their family will be less able to make decisions whose impact reaches the entire country, for this reason we add that the substance of this new law is to ensure the respect and recognition of human rights,” he asserted.

The legislator ended by recognizing all the women and men who made the approval of "Law 3 of 3" possible, stating that Acción Nacional will continue to demonstrate its commitment to continue implementing actions to defend all of us who inhabit this country.

“We extend our appreciation to those who were part of the actions for the approval of this Law.

"For our part, in the PAN we will continue doing our work to demonstrate with deeds and actions our commitment to continue implementing actions to defend all of us who inhabit this country."
